Hi. I’m Eric. My friends call me “E”. I am a computer scientist, programmer and an avid student of life. I love to learn new things.
My mission: Live to make things happen. To realize my full potential and to help others realize theirs. “Life rewards action and I will have action in my life.” I will project a strong confident image. Exhibit perseverance and adaptability in the face of adversity. Employ resourcefulness and creativity in all my endeavors.
Fall in love with some activity, and do it! Nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesn’t matter. Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough. Work as hard and as much as you want to on the things you like to do the best. Don’t think about what you want to be, but what you want to do. Keep up some kind of a minimum with other things so that society doesn’t stop you from doing anything at all.

I found your very interesting papers about the EsetCrackme2013. Cool job!
I’m looking for the associated exe-file EsetCrackme2013.exe for long time, but I can’t find this, all links were expired…
I want to improve my skills in RE, and your solution can teach me. It’s better, if I can work step-by-step with the original file than reading the papers only…
Can you help me please and give this file to me?

Thanks for pointing out the broken links. Apparently ESET has deleted the old links in favor of their 2015 challenge. I have updated the first page of my eset 2013 write up (https://erichokanson.me/2014/01/08/eset-2013-challenge/) to contain a link where you can down load the 2013 Crackmes.

Hi Eric, I was able to use your Ollydebug tutorial to good effect and solve a tough problem with Ollydebug. The tutorial is out of date; Olly 1.X will not run on anything like modern Windows and Olly 2.01 is quite a bit different from the perspective of an Olly newbie. Nevertheless, it worked
and you helped me a lot.
